Meet Our Team
I joined Aspen in September of 2016. I have been in the field for over 30 years with experience in Large Animal , Critical Care, Specialty and General Practice. I went to NAU, moved away and couldn't stay away from the mountain. In my spare time I enjoy horseback riding, archery, spending time with family/friends, and exploring Arizona.
Growing up in the barn and on the ranch I developed a deep love for animals and working with them. Being a technician for 4 years I was able to come to work with Aspen in December of 2014. Dr. Saul and Dr. Hisrich gave me such a great opportunity to further my knowledge and career as a technician. In my spare time I enjoy hunting, competing in barrels and spending time in the woods with my family.
I am a certified veterinary technician that has been working at Aspen Veterinary Clinic for 13 years. I love working with all the variety of animals that Aspen Vet helps and having the chance to help their owners as well. I really appreciate all the experience and knowledge that I have gained working here and all the great people I have met. I am a full time student at NAU and am working part time at Aspen Vet currently. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking with my dog Dodger, and riding my horse Bucky.
I was born in Ventura CA and raised in flagstaff. I have experience as a technician working primarily in anesthesia. I love horses and have been riding since I was 3. My cat Willis is my fur child along with my two dogs. Apart from loving every animal that comes my way I enjoy reading and fitness.
I came to Aspen Veterinary Clinic as a veterinary technician in August 2016, and I have been a tech since January 2014. I have a degree in wildlife biology from NAU, and my ultimate career goals involve some aspect of wildlife research, conservation, or rehabilitation. My favorite thing about Aspen is the amazing team of doctors, technicians, and receptionists that I get to work with every day. I am truly thankful that I am part of a team that cares about each other and also about providing the best possible medicine for every patient. IN my free time, I enjoy reading, bird watching, and hiking with my husband and tow dogs (Elden and Wren).
My name is Shayna and I joined the Aspen team in March 2016. I enjoy working at Aspen with the diversity of patients we treat. My long term goals with Aspen are to become a better technician and provide the best animal care possible.
I came to work for Aspen Veterinary Clinic October 1st of 2008. I really enjoy being around animals of all kinds, and this job gives me the opportunity to be around ALL kinds. I love working with all the clients and patients that come here. I so enjoy listening to all the stories of your favorite friends, your pets. I enjoy being with my family. My husband, three grown children and their spouses plus five grand kids keeps me pretty busy. I love being outdoors and having family get togethers.
I grew up in Upstate New York, and originally came to Flagstaff to hike the Grand Canyon. I fell in love with the West and never looked back. I inherited my love & care of animals from my parents. My husband ( Bruce ) and I first became clients of Aspen Veterinary Clinic way back in the late 1970's! I had been working as Realtor in northern Arizona for years, and when the receptionist position arose in 2012 at Aspen Veterinary Clinic, I jumped at the opportunity. What a refreshing change of careers and a fulfillment of a lifelong desire to work with animals. I feel fortunate to work with some very special folks, and very caring clients and their beloved pets. I look forward to all the new and exciting changes ahead at Aspen!
